TEMPE, Ariz. – Oracle and the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced the latest Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Division III National Team Rankings on Thursday, and Emory University’s men’s and women’s teams continue to occupy the No. 1 spot.
The Emory men are 8-3 on the season, while the women are 6-2. Both teams and undefeated versus Division III competition, and each emerged victorious in their respective 2017 ITA Division III National Team Indoor Championship back in February.
The Top 10 on the men’s side saw little change, with the No.’s 1-7 positions remaining the same as two weeks ago. Wesleyan moved up from No. 10 to No. 7, while Williams cracked the Top 10, going from No. 13 to No. 9. University of Redlands slid back two positions from No. 8 to No. 10.
On the women’s side, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps climbed from No. 5 up to No. 2 this week, thanks to a 6-3 victory over previous No. 2 (No. 3 this week) Williams 6-3 on March 25. CMS is 14-0 on the season. Tufts made its way into the Top 10, moving up from five spots from No. 12 to No. 7.
The next set of national team rankings will be released on April 13, 2017.
