WOMEN/MEN

TEMPE, Ariz. –
Following the first two weeks of competition, there was minimal movement to the rankings as Oracle and the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced the Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Men’s And Women’s Division I National Team Rankings on Wednesday.

The two teams atop their respective rankings on Jan. 3, remained there today, with Stanford holding the No. 1 women’s ranking and Wake Forest the top-ranked men’s team. There were no changes to the women’s Top 25, while the men saw one minor switch, as Duke and Texas Tech flip-flopped spots at No.’s 24 and 25.

North Carolina saw its men’s and women’s teams receive one first-place vote in the rankings – the only teams outside of Stanford and Wake Forest to garner first-place votes. The Tar Heels are ranked No. 3 in the men’s poll and No. 5 in the women’s poll.

A national rankings panel voted on the Top 25 teams, and will do so up to the ITA Division I National Team Indoor Championships in February. Upon the conclusion of the two national events, team rankings will transition to the computerized system.
