PlaySight-ITA Match of the Week
A Doubleheader of New PlaySight Clients – USC Women and Iowa Men Play Host to Conference Rivals
Date: Friday, April 8, 2016
Time: 2 p.m., PT
Location: Marks Tennis Stadium, Los Angeles, California
Teams Playing: No. 44 Arizona Wildcats at No. 24 USC Trojans
The USC Trojans are one of PlaySight’s newest partners. The Trojans are equipped with six Smart Courts on all six of the courts at the newly-renovated Marks Stadium – one of the nicest places to watch tennis in the country. In addition to playing the Wildcats on Friday (which will be carried by the Pac 12 Network), the Trojans are also playing the Arizona State Sun Devils on Saturday – and you can tune into that stream here: https://www.playsight.com/livestreaming (search USC). This is all weather permitting, of course – mother nature is calling for a few days of rain in the usually-sunny Los Angeles area.
From the official USC tennis website:
The Women of Troy -- NCAA semifinalists in 2015 -- started the new year right where they left off, as the No. 2 team in the land in the first team rankings of 2016. In the latest round of national rankings (April 5), USC stands as the No. 24 team in the land. In the latest set of individual rankings (April 5), USC has five Trojans locked in with singles rankings. Senior Giuliana Olmos continues to lead the way, now ranked #22 in the nation.
The USC men's and women's tennis teams have called the David X. Marks Tennis Stadium home since its construction in 1971. This year, Trojan tennis moves back into a revamped and renovated home that is up-to-date and in line with the impressive accomplishments of both programs. The courts were open for action throughout construction, and a ribbon-cutting and dedication for the new facility was held on Feb. 16 to officially unveil the newest additions to the Marks Tennis Stadium -- the Buntmann Family Tennis Center, Fritz B. Burns Center Court, Lisa and Douglas Goldman Family Student-Athlete Learning Center and Michael Uytengsu Tennis Pavilion -- the happy home of the USC men's and women's tennis teams.

Date: Sunday, April 10, 2016
Time: 12 p.m., CT
Location: Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex, Iowa City, Iowa.
Teams Playing: No. 13 Northwestern Wildcats at No. 63 Iowa Hawkeyes
The Iowa Hawkeyes recently completed the addition of Smart Court and Live Court technology to the state-of-the-art HTRC facility in Iowa City. The men’s team looks to finish the season strong, and that starts this weekend in a battle with Top 15 conference foe Northwestern.
This is an all-PlaySight matchup, as the Wildcats have been practicing and playing on Smart Courts all season long.
From the official Iowa website:
The 13th-ranked Northwestern Wildcats have only lost two matches all season and currently hold a five-match win streak. Northwestern will take on Nebraska in Lincoln on Friday. Heading into that match the Wildcats are 5-0 in Big Ten play.
As of this weekend, the HTRC will be equipped with leading technology in sports video-review and analytics. PlaySight is already being utilized by top programs like UNC, Northwestern, and Ohio State. Both the men's and women's teams will be able to use the technology to collect data on their athletes and improve the games of tennis players in both programs. PlaySight will also stream all Iowa matches live worldwide on both the inside and outside courts.
